The landscape was conceived around a new house which envelopes a historic limestone cottage.  This enduring remnant stone house inspired a concept of something solid undepinning the new landscape, as though it has always been there.

Donnybook sandstone hewn slabs become sculptural pathways through the garden  while boulders served to retain raised garden bed and provide a rustic backrest as one lounges on a classic bed lawn bed.

Architectural planting with spiritedly pink seasonal flowers offsets the muted grey tones of the house.

This project also explores breaking up a conventional grey concrete driveway with gravel strips to diminish the concrete mass. Old school salt finish also provides unique texture and interest elevating the impression of the common grey concrete drive.
